Declan Brooks’ Bronze medal achievement is all the more inspiring when you think only a month prior, he was knocked unconscious after an attempted double backflip at the World Championships in Montpellier, France.

I can only imagine the courage, determination, strength of character and self-belief that spurred him on to get back on his bike, and reach the podium.

It surely has inspired me to stay on course and never give up.
